About Us
Applying is free and easy! Families can apply through our website at https://www.kippmiami.org/enroll or by filling out a paper application at the school.
SchoolMint is a third-party vendor/system that KIPP Miami uses to gather and store our family’s information. KIPP Miami uses SchoolMint which provides an integrated and sustainable platform. SchoolMint attracts, enrolls, and engages families with user friendly products. Paper applications are manually entered into SchoolMint by the Director of Enrollment.
No, you should not apply unless you want your child to attend a new school. If you apply through Miami Enrollment, you run the risk of losing the seat reserved for your child at his/her current school.
All of our students are placed by their geographical location. Your student will automatically be placed at the nearest KIPP school in your geographical area granted they’re seats available for the requested grade.
If your child is on the waitlist, we will contact you as soon as a seat opens. If a seat does not open up by the end of the school year, you must reapply. Waitlist numbers do not carry onto the next school year, you must reapply every year until you get in.
Miami applications opened in December. Your best chance of securing a seat is to apply before the end of January.
Applicants receive results by mid- March.
To qualify for Kindergarten, your child must be five years old by September 1st of the requested year. There are no exceptions.
There is no application fee or cost to attend. KIPP Miami schools are free public schools.
Each child may only enter once. Any duplicate applications will be removed prior to the application processing.
We ask that you review the information on this page first and, if you still have a question, please contact us. If you require an immediate response, please call us at (786) 309- 7697. We are here to help!

KIPP Miami provides free bus transportation to different hubs in the communities that we serve.
You may visit the school any day that the school is open. If you would like a tour, please call us at (786) 309-7697 in advance of your visit to confirm the school hours and schedules. (No tours at this time due to Covid-19 safety requirements.)
The number of students in each classroom varies depending on the campus, grade and/or subject. Some classes have 20 students and others may have 28; the average class has 24 students.
The first day of school may be different for each campus but all schools begin in mid-August. Please do not schedule any vacations or summer camp in August so that your child does not miss school.
All students receive breakfast and lunch (and an afternoon snack) for free.
Yes, all students are required to wear uniforms. Each student is provided a free uniform shirt at the beginning of the school year. Families may purchase additional shirts throughout the school year from All Uniform Wear.
